Allegheny Sport and Outdoor Magazine is a practice in paying attention to a particular place in the world. That of the Allegheny River watershed, the Allegheny Mountains, Allegheny County (in which Pittsburgh is located). The meaning of the word comes from the Lenape (Delaware) Native American tribe and is usually translated as “fine river.”
